Procrastination

Face it, we are all guilty of it. Whether we acknowledge it or not. You'd think that since we live in a world were everything can pretty much happen instantly, that it wouldn't be possible to even think of it happening, but it does anyway. I'm talking about procrastination. The act of postponing, delaying or putting off, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. We all "live in the now", but for some reason we are still "stuck in the before". The reason I'm bringing all this up is because I had experienced a bout of procrastination myself. This actually was more than a bout it was more like a season. My room had become over the past couple weeks, a pile of clothes. Now, don't think I'm a slob living in a pigsty, no but I was living in a house with some very lazy people. I mean I really did make it very simple for doing laundry. I gathered my clothes and put them into trash bags and left them in front of the laundry machine. After two days of telling and hinting to have my clothes washed, I finally got the now famous line, "Just put it back and I'll take care of it later" For crying out loud! How about right now! Since you obviously aren't doing anything right now! It's not like it takes so long I mean, it just put clothes in, add tide and hit go! This that really so time consuming it can't be done right now?! Nevertheless, after months of waiting and complaining and having to buy new clothes just to make it through a week, the laundry finally gets moving. Today marks the day we break through the procrastination and move forward in life like we are supposed to. I really hope this doesn't take long...
